We are excited to begin a new school year! While we have many changes in staff and programming, our vision for our school remains the same:

This vision captures the idea that each student is valuable and deserves to be challenged academically and supported as a learner and as a unique person. Middle school is a time of much change for our students and their families. We strive every day to help our students thrive during these important years. We care deeply for our students and believe that they can achieve!

Out of this belief and vision has come a number of new opportunities for learning and new academic and behavioral supports for our students. These include:
- Leveled Literacy Intervention for struggling readers
- Digital Literacy classes to prepare students for 21st Century learning
- Additional math classes to boost math skills
- Career exploration classes to get even our youngest students to think about their future
- Sea Perch, an underwater robotics program, to develop our young engineers
- MathCounts, a mathematics competition club, to develop our young mathematicians
- Positive Alternative to School Suspension (PASS) to keep students in school and teach them conflict resolution skills
- STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) classes that focus on developing our students skills in design and coding
- Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBiS) program to reward our students' great behavior and recognize their efforts
- "We the People" Congressional Simulation class to develop our young community leaders
- Culinary Arts classes to develop our young chefs
- A growing visual and performing arts program that includes choir, band, and drama to support our young singers, musicians, actors, and actresses
These are just some of the great things happening at TMMS, and we could not be more excited about our school!
