Principal's Message

Dear Trotwood-Madison High School Families,

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! We are thrilled to welcome our students and staff back to school. We hope that you were able to relax and make special memories with your friends and family over the summer break. It is time to look forward to a beautiful new school year as we are “Anchored in Achievement” at Trotwood Madison High School!

Our incredible staff of educators has been in school throughout the summer to prepare classrooms for the new school year. We are grateful to our excellent custodial staff, who worked all summer to get our school in pristine shape. Our administrative team, counselors, and secretaries are working hard to ensure a smooth start for staff, students, and families.

Trotwood is not just a school; it's a nurturing environment where students can thrive. We take pride in our beautiful school and hold high expectations for every student. Our students are not just learners but kind, compassionate individuals eager to grow. We strive with our dedicated staff to build strong connections with students, making them feel valued, accepted, and, most importantly, safe. Our motto at Trotwood Madison High School is “YOU MATTER.” We are committed to providing a rigorous and joyful inclusive school environment, fostering a love for learning that lasts a lifetime.

We know that we will need to continue addressing unfinished learning by using an accelerated model to fill in gaps in knowledge. Instruction will be focused on the specialized skills and content required to learn grade-level materials while providing appropriate tools to grasp concepts.

A strong partnership with families is the key to a successful school year at Trotwood Madison High School. We understand that the start of a new school year can be a source of anxiety for students, and we are here to support them. We will maintain our high expectations for learning while focusing on building a positive school culture. We encourage families to stay connected and informed by following our district and high school website and announcements and emails sent through Parent Square, as your involvement is crucial to your child's success.

Yours in Education,

Michael J. McCray
