The Trotwood-Madison City Schools has made the decision to provide a 100% online virtual academic program for the first nine weeks of the 2020/2021 school year.
Three plans were proposed; virtual, blended, and in person. The decision was made with feedback from the community, parents, staff, and in collaboration with Trotwood-Madison Education Association leadership to determine the best scenario for our district.
At this time, the current status of Montgomery County and the guidelines of the Ohio Department of Health leads us to believe that providing 9 weeks of a 100% virtual program is the best course of action for now. This plan allows us to monitor and make adjustments as necessary.
We are hopeful that the COVID- 19 case numbers in Montgomery County will decrease to the point that we can consider the blended or in person options in the near future.
All details about the safe school fall opening plan will be available on the district's website on Monday, July 20, 2020.
Sincerely,
Dr. Reva Cosby, Superintendent
